A consultation is a time-limited, issue focused meeting with a patient designed to shed light on a specific problem the patient has that is then reported to another outside professional or professional board. In all consultations, we provide a clearly articulated report addressing the specific consultation query.
The Village Institute offers consultant services to mental health providers, medical professionals, lawyers and other professionals to address specific issues that require an expert opinion on the emotional or mental state of being of an individual.
We have served as consultants for therapeutic impasse, child custody conflicts and legal recommendations for an emotional support animal. We consult with nursing, psychology and other professional boards about substance abuse rehabilitation and if a patient is cleared to return to work.
